Members of the general public are invited to participate in a free tour of the Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. administration building today.

The tour, part of a monthly series of tours throughout Columbus that are arranged by Engage Columbus, will be 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today at the administrative building, 1200 Central Ave., Columbus.

People who attend the tour will be able to hear BCSC Superintendent Jim Roberts talk about the district’s Spanish-language immersion program for pre-K and kindergarten students, said Hailey Hennessy, marketing manager for Engage Columbus.

Starting in the fall, the BCSC dual-language immersion program will place pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students in a bilingual program. Half of the students will be native Spanish speakers and the other half native English speakers, offered at Clifty Creek Elementary School. Applications for the program are continuing through Feb. 5.
