Friday’s inclement weather wiped out every event on the local sports schedule and even some of the events scheduled for today.
Both the Bloomington South at Columbus East and Mooresville at Columbus North boys basketball games scheduled for Friday were rescheduled for Monday. Junior varsity games will begin at 6 p.m., with the varsity to follow around 7:30 p.m.
From other boys basketball games postponed Friday, Seymour at Jennings County has been rescheduled for Feb. 6, Hauser at Lawrenceburg has been rescheduled for Feb. 13 and South Decatur at North Decatur has been rescheduled for Feb. 24, all with 7:30 p.m. varsity starts. The Trinity Lutheran at Madison Shawe boys basketball game has been rescheduled for Feb. 16, with a 6:30 p.m. varsity start.
Friday’s Seymour at Jennings County girls basketball game was canceled and will not be made up.
The Hoosier Hills Conference girls swimming meet that was to be hosted by East today has been moved to 6 p.m. Tuesday at East. The HHC wrestling meet, which was scheduled for today at Madison, has been moved to Jan. 20 at Jeffersonville, and today’s Conference Indiana wrestling meet, which was supposed to be at Perry Meridian, has been moved to Friday at Southport.
The Seymour at East boys basketball and Brown County at Trinity Lutheran girls basketball games scheduled for tonight also have been postponed, with makeup dates not yet determined. Tonight’s Bedford North Lawrence at Jennings County boys basketball game has been rescheduled for Jan. 23.
