Dale Paul Pattingill

COLUMBUS

Dale Paul Pattingill, 40, of Columbus, died at 6:49 a.m. on Sunday, January 21, 2018, at his residence.

Dale was a 1996 graduate of Columbus North High School and went on to serve in the United States Marine Corps. He was a supervisor at NTN Driveshaft and attended The Ridge. Dale was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish; he enjoyed going to the races and skydiving with his daughter on her 18th birthday. Some of his greatest joys were coaching his kids in the various sports they played and spending time with his family and friends.

The funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 25, 2018, at Barkes, Weaver, & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor Barb Tuttle officiating.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and also from 9:00 a.m. to time of service Thursday at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to an education fund for the kids.

Dale was born July 10, 1977, the son of Roger Dale Pattingill and Pam Geilker Minton.

On July 21, 2007, in Columbus, he married Angie Keeton.

Survivors include his wife of 10 years; children, Kadin, Alex and Keeton Pattingill, Ali and Caleb Hoover; father and stepmother, Roger Dale (Donna) Pattingill of Hope; mother and stepfather, Pam (Kenny) Geilker Minton of Columbus; sisters, Julie (Doug) Pattingill Miller, Dalene Pattingill, Deena Pattingill Lunsford and Dacia Pattingill Smith; mother-in-law, Mary Burns; aunts and uncles, Gary and Kaye Pattingill, Trish and Bob Burns and Brenda Sprague; brothers-in-law, Bruce (Amy) Burns and Terry (Shelly) Burns; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James Pattingill, Mildred Pattingill Hadley, Paul Geilker and Evelyn (Don) Geilker Lucas; uncle, Allen Sprague; and his father-in-law, Jerry Burns.
