GREENSBURG
Ruth E. Creech, 91 of Greensburg, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2018.
Ruth was born on October 12, 1926, and was adopted by James and Alice (Mabis) Scheivley.
She was a 1945 graduate of Sunman High School.
On April 20, 1946, Ruth married Lee Creech in Sunman, and he survives.
Other survivors include her children, Donald (Patsy) Creech of Waldron, Carol (Wesley) McCullough of Westport and David (Sharon) Creech of Greensburg; 12 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Sam Scheivley.
Ruth was a pastor’s wife and a missionary evangelist. She was a member of the Lighthouse Chapel and the Gideon’s.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, January, 28, 2018 from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home in Greensburg. Funeral Services will begin at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 29, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the St. Paul’s United Methodist Cemetery in Sunman.
