COLUMBUS
James A. Long, 60, of Columbus, died at 3:52 p.m. Friday, January 26, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
Jim was born June 23, 1957, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of Leander and Lucille Netter Long.
Jim worked at Walmart for 15 years overseeing inventory control.
He enjoyed bicycling, basketball and running. He loved music and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his son, Robert (Betsy) Green of Columbus; four grandchildren; significant other for over 21 years, Cindy Reynolds of Columbus; brother, Al (Brenda) Long of Anderson, sisters, Phyllis (Cleveland) Williams of Columbus, Mary Ann (Joseph) Knight of Seymour, Barbara Belardo of Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Lee Long Jr., sister, Romania (Eddie) Solomon; nephew, Charles Johnson and niece, E`ena Belardo.
The funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Rev. Larry Rowe officiating. Family and friends may call from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
