Park Foundation elects four new members to board of directors

Columbus Park Foundation has elected four new members to its board of directors.

They are Kathy Hutsen Baumgart, client services manager for Reising Radio Partners; Charlie Farber, retired market president and director of business banking for MainSource Bank; Shailesh Gugale, sourcing director in corporate purchasing for Cummins Inc.; and Beth Morris, director of community health partnerships for Healthy Communities, Columbus Regional Hospital.

Board president Chip Orben said the volunteer board members diligently work and support the mission of the foundation, which is to maintain and enrich the vitality of the Columbus Parks and Recreation Department and its facilities.

The foundation aids the parks department in the acquisition, conservation and development of land for parks and recreations, secures long-term financial support including an endowment fund for parks projects, and supports and encourages community participation in recreation programs through scholarships and other resources.
