Flood danger canceled for Driftwood area

Bartholomew County Emergency Management has canceled a flood warning for the Driftwood River near Edinburgh.

The river was at 5.1 feet at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, officials said. Flood stage is 11 feet.

Emergency management officials are forecasting the river will crest below flood stage at 10.9 feet early Friday morning.

In addition to the warning change, the National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for Bartholomew, Brown, Jackson and Jennings counties through this morning.
