SEYMOUR
Mr. Arthur C. “Butch” Killey, 70, of Seymour, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
He was born April 29, 1947, in Seymour, to Oren and Vernon (Nowling) Killey.
Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Thursday, February 22 from 4 to 8 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 9 a.m. until time of service.
Funeral services will be conducted by Voss & Sons Funeral Service at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church (6045 E. State St. in Columbus) on Friday, February 23 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Doug Bauman officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery.
He was a graduate of Brownstown High School, class of 1965.
He was a member of the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of American Legion Post 89.
On January 18, 1974 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, he married Barbara K. Topie; she survives.
He was in sales all his life and retired from B&H Electric.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, painting, drawing and attending his grandchildren’s events.
He is survived by his mother; wife of 44 years, Barbara K. Killey; children, Brandy (Andy) Schafstall, Shannon (Jason) Koester and Aaron (Aimee) Killey; grandchildren, Tyler and Brooke Schafstall, Reid and Ridge Koester and Grant, Brielle and Owen Killey; brothers, Alvin (Cindy) Killey and Alan (Dana) Killey; and sisters, Connie (Michael) Lovins and Reta (Larry) Schneider.
He is preceded in death by his father.
Memorials may be written to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, American Heart Association or Fresenius Kidney Care or Dialysis Center, in care of Voss & Sons Funeral Service.
