Dancing with purpose: Turning Point Dance Marathon

Central Middle School in Columbus was a popular place to be from 8 p.m. Feb. 24 to 6 a.m. Feb. 25 for students from the Columbus high schools and Hauser. Hundreds, plus adult volunteers, participated in the 19th annual Dance Marathon. For 10 hours they danced, ate food, played games and learned about dating and domestic violence.
The annual event not only raises awareness and provides education about these forms of violence, but the proceeds support Turning Point Domestic Violence Services and its programs, such as emergency shelter and education
