Annual Literacy Festival offering booth space

The 12th annual Bartholomew Reads Literacy Festival is seeking participants who wish to have booths at the event, which is planned for noon to 3 p.m. May 12 at Central Middle School.

The event features reading and literacy activities for children and families and includes child-friendly entertainment, a character costume contest, distribution of gently used books and door prizes.

It is sponsored by the Bartholomew Literacy Task Force, which supports the Book Buddies program, “Put Your Nose in a Book Day,” Dr. Seuss’ Birthday/Read Across America and the Community Book Read.

Organizations interested in having a booth at the festival should email [email protected] for a registration form.

The Bartholomew Literacy Task Force provides a 6-foot table and two chairs, but those seeking a booth are asked to bring their own decorations for their table, balloons or other items. The registration form provides an opportunity to provide a door prize for the event.
