Jenny’s picks – March 8

1) Giving blood is one incredibly easy way to help someone else. Simply roll up your sleeve and let the technicians do the rest. The Red Cross has two opportunities for Bartholomew County residents to help. The first blood drive is 2 to 7 p.m. March 19 at the Hope Moravian Church, 202 Main St. in Hope. The second 1 to 5 p.m. March 30 at Donner Center, 739 22nd St. in Columbus. Information: via the American Red Cross Blood Donor App, redcrossblood.org or 800-733-2767.

2) A fantasy classic, “The Neverending Story,” shows on the big screen at the Historic Artcraft Theatre, 57 N. Main St. Franklin, 2 and 7:30 p.m. March 23 and 24. I haven’t seen this flick on the big screen since I was about 5 years old. For those of you who never have seen it, or for whom it’s been decades, it’s time to catch it again.
