Rosamond (Rose) V. Robbins, 85, of Columbus, passed peacefully from this life at 4:15 p.m. Sunday, March 11, 2018 at Silver Oaks Health Campus, Columbus.

Rose was born in Frankfort, Kentucky on May 13, 1932, the daughter of Benjamin (Bixie) Lawrence Fallis and Beulah Frances McCord Fallis Garrett.

She married Norman Leroy Robbins on October 27, 1951.

She was a homemaker most of her life with talents of drawing and writing.

Survivors include her sons, Danny (Carolyn) Robbins of Madison, Anthony Robbins of Columbus, daughters, Rhonda Wells of Columbus, Norma (Tom) Humphrey of Ellettsville; daughter-in-law, Debbie Robbins of Edinburgh; grandchildren, Christopher (Mary) Robbins, Eric (Stacy) Robbins, Holly (Josh) Burton, Brooke (Carl) Chan, Amanda Robbins, Adam (Sarah) Stewart, Jason Martin; great-grandchildren, Alexandra Lockhart, Christopher Robbins, Crystal (Nate) Boknecht, Taylor Robbins, Thomas Robbins, Wyatt Kinney, Zack Burton, Elizabeth Robbins, Gavin Robbins, Jagger Chan, Ryann Stewart, Eleanor (Elie) Chan and Ridge Stewart; great-great grandchildren, Taiden Boknecht and Carson Boknecht; brother, Marvin Fallis of Hanover; sister, Shirley Yocum of Versailles; and several nieces and nephews.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norman; eldest son, Michael Robbins; grandsons, Derrick Robbins, Thomas Gregory Robbins; and sister, Nadine (Fallis) McDonald.

Visitation will be held from 1 until 4 p.m. Sunday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street in Columbus. In keeping with Rose’s wishes, cremation will take place following the visitation on Sunday. A private graveside service will be held at a future date and time in Madison at Springdale Cemetery.
