Community egg hunt planned on March 31

An Easter season tradition will return March 31 at Donner Park with the 59th Community Easter Egg Hunt.

Kids up to age 8 will have a chance to collect a basket full of eggs. About 7,000 special eggs filled with trinkets and treats will be planted around the park, at 22nd Street and Lafayette Avenue.

The hunt, which each year draws 800 to 1,000 kids, kicks off promptly at 10 a.m. It’s usually done by 10:02 a.m.
