Eunice L. Tays

COLUMBUS

Eunice L. Tays, 53, of Columbus, passed from this life at 11:20 p.m. Sunday, March 18, 2018 as the result of an automobile accident in Columbus.

Eunice was born October 13, 1964, in Columbus, Indiana, the loving daughter of Victor V. and Dorothy M. Bennett Bringle. She married Jesse A. Tays Sr. May 7, 1988.

Eunice was a 1982 graduate of Columbus North High School and for the last five years has been employed at McDonald’s.

Eunice was raised in the Columbus Free Methodist Church and currently was a faithful member of the Revival Full Gospel Tabernacle. She enjoyed evangelizing in Kentucky with her church.

Eunice loved spending time with her granddaughter and caring for her dogs.

She had a passion for singing which she did at church, weddings and funerals.

Eunice is survived by her mother, Dorothy Renner of Columbus; her son, Jesse A. Tays II of Columbus; a granddaughter, Amaya Tays; siblings, Don (Diane) Barriger Jr. of Hartsville, Melody (Richard) Harmon of Columbus, Jonnette (Michael) Robinson of Nashville, Scott Bringle of Shelby County, and Earleen (Dale) Dewar of Schererville; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Eunice was preceded in death by her father, Victor V. Bringle and her stepfather, Norris Renner.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastors Eli Johnson and Mark Scroghan officiating. Family and friends may gather for visitation from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. until service time Friday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
