Jill Ann Welch, 55, of Columbus, passed away March 26 in Indianapolis.
Jill was born in Columbus to Marshall and Betty Ott on April 2, 1962.
She attended Columbus North High School and graduated in 1980.
Jill was many things in her life, including an artist, expert cake decorator and talented florist. She absolutely loved to cook and feed those she loved, and was a devoted flower and vegetable gardener.
Jill loved nothing more than being out on the water and camping with family and friends.
Jill is preceded in death by her parents, Marshall and Betty; her husband, Jeff Welch; her brother, Roger Ott; and a nephew, Seth Crossland.
Jill is survived by her two sons, Cameron and Daniel Welch; brothers, Mike (Cindy) Ott, and Bruce (Marsha) Ott; mother- and father-in-law, John and Patsy Welch; as well as many nieces and nephews, cousins, and many devoted friends, as well as her life partner, Mark Forster.
Visitation for Jill will be held Tuesday, April 3, 2018 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Myers-Reed Chapel followed by a short celebration of life.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Jill’s name may be made to Riley Children’s Hospital, a cause near and dear to her heart.
She was one of a kind and will be forever missed by many.
