Local chef part of Culinary Camp Week

Children with an interest in cooking will be learning from a professional during the two-week Indiana State Museum Culinary Arts Camp.

Alexa Lemley, executive chef of the Columbus confectionery 240sweet, will teach children to make gourmet marshmallows as part of the event, which opened Monday and runs through June 29.

Both weeks — the first for children ages 6 to 9, and the second for ages 10 to 14 — are aimed at helping participants learn the basics of cooking, kitchen safety culinary careers and more. The program is sold out.
