The Bartholomew County Radio Control Fliers will host its annual fly-in to benefit the Firemen’s Cheer Fund, which provides holiday help for families in need.
The event will be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 12 at the club’s field at the reclaimed Petersville Convenience Station operated by the Bartholomew County Solid Waste Management District, 11110 25th St., east of Columbus.
The fly-in is free and the public is invited to watch remote control planes and learn about the hobby. Hot dogs and soft drinks will be available at the event.
