Rape suspect held on $2 million bond; criminal charges filed

Formal charges of felony rape, criminal confinement and intimidation have been filed against a Elizabethtown man.

Teddy A. Allman, 46, 10202 E. Legal Tender Road, Elizabethtown, was arrested Sept. 10 after Bartholomew County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a mobile home park about a battery and a rape accusation.

Sheriff’s Capt. Dave Steinkoenig and Sgt. Jim Stevens located Allman after a female identified her assailant and arrested him, deputies said.

Allman’s initial hearing is set for 1 p.m. today in Bartholomew Circuit Court, according to court records. A no-contact order has been filed in the case regarding the victim.

Allman was being held in the Bartholomew County Jail in lieu of $2 million bond, jail officials said.
