Court orders return of electronics items to White

Bartholomew County officials are returning electronics confiscated from former Columbus pastor Justin K. White as part of an investigation leading to his conviction for contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

White, 39, former senior pastor of First Christian Church in Columbus, filed a motion in Bartholomew Circuit Court seeking the return of an Apple iPhone 6, an HP laptop, a Kindle Fire and a Dell laptop, which were taken when he was searched, along with his home and place of business, as part of the investigation.

He was arrested at his Columbus home March 24, 2016 on charges of felony insurance fraud and felony contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

A court hearing to hear the request had been set for Nov. 8, but was canceled after Bartholomew County Prosecutor Bill Nash responded that he had no objection to the release of the seized items.
