Tyler Duncan fired an opening-round 3-under-par 69 Thursday and is tied for 16th place in the RSM Classic.
Duncan, a 2008 Columbus North graduate, birdied four of the first eight holes and shot 33 on the front nine. He finished with a 36 on the back.
Charles Howell III leads the tournament after an 8-under 64.
