U.S. Congressman Greg Pence, R-Ind., announced that he will serve on the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.

“Infrastructure investment is critical to the future of our economy,” Pence said. “As the Crossroads of America, Indiana can continue to lead where technology and transportation intersect.”

The committee has jurisdiction over all modes of transportation—aviation, highways and bridges, transit and rail transportation, pipelines, and maritime and waterborne transportation.

The committee also has jurisdiction over wastewater infrastructure, the nation’s emergency preparedness and response programs, public buildings and federal real estate management, federal economic development agencies, and the U.S. Coast Guard.
