Four face charges in jail trafficking case

Investigators have arrested additional people after finding that drug contraband was being hidden by a female inmate in a body cavity last week.

Members of the Bartholomew County Joint Narcotics Task Force have arrested four people in the wake of finding the drug contraband in the body cavity of Kristen Hunter, 34, of 6356 S. Becks Grove Road last week, Bartholomew County Sheriff deputies said.

Hunter was being held in jail in lieu of $577,500 bond on charges of dealing in a narcotic drug, possession of a controlled substance, possession of heroin and trafficking with an inmate, deputies said.

That investigation led to a second female inmate who was found to have narcotics hidden in a body cavity, deputies said. Breanna Meier, 26, 5151 N. County Road 200W, was being held in the jail in lieu of $633,500 bond on preliminary charges of:

  • Dealing in cocaine
  • Conspiracy to commit dealing in a narcotic
  • Conspiracy to commit trafficking with an inmate
  • False informing
  • False identity
  • Possession of methamphetamine
  • Possession of paraphernalia

Two other individuals were subsequently identified as being involved in the Hunter case, deputies said. They are Ivan Hendrickson Jr., 40, of 1361 Grand Ave. and Tyler Green, 26, of 3690 Cheyenne Court, deputies said.

Hendrickson was being held in the Bartholomew County Jail in lieu of $600,000 bond on preliminary charges of dealing in a narcotic drug and conspiracy to commit dealing in a narcotic drug, deputies said.

Green remains in the Bartholomew County Jail in lieu of $500,000 bond on preliminary charges of conspiracy to commit dealing in a narcotic drug and conspiracy to commit trafficking with an inmate, deputies said.
