Two arrested after trespassing complaint at local store

Columbus police arrested two people on drug-related charges after one of the suspects was observed trespassing at a Columbus store on Friday afternoon.

At 4:40 p.m., CPD officers responded to Walmart, 735 Whitfield Drive, about a man at the store who was recently trespassed from all Walmart properties, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.

Officers located the man, who was identified as Kenton A. Wilson, 30, of Columbus, inside a van in the store’s parking lot.

Officers also spoke to a passenger in Wilson’s vehicle who was identified as Alexa A. Hicks, 28, of Columbus and observed what appeared to be narcotics inside the vehicle, Harris said.

The officers searched the vehicle and located two bags of methamphetamine, five syringes, and drug paraphernalia inside the van, Harris said. Wilson and Hicks were placed under arrest and transported to the Bartholomew County Jail on the following preliminary charges:

Kenton Wilson: Possession of methamphetamine, possession of a legend drug injection device, possession of drug paraphernalia, criminal trespass

Alexa Hicks: Possession of methamphetamine, possession of a legend drug injection device, possession of drug paraphernalia
