Demolition begins on Becker’s Drive-In root beer stand

Demolition began Tuesday morning at the former Becker's Drive-In at 25th and Union St. with the destruction of the north awning. The restaurant was open for 67 years until it was closed for good in the fall of 2015.

Demolition began this morning at the former Becker’s Drive-In at 25th Street and Union Street, as an excavator takes down the awning.

The restaurant was open for 67 years until it was closed for good in the fall of 2015 and did not reopen in the spring of 2016.
