Pets: Bartholomew County Humane Society

Spanky Spanky is a young basset/pitty mix, about 1 to 2 years old. He’s very quiet and a bit reserved, and would do best in a quiet home. However, he really comes alive when he has his toys and he’ll play for hours and is quite the clown! He should probably be in a home with older children (at least 12) because he can be very enthusiastic with the toys. Spanky is already altered, current on all vaccinations and has tested negative for heartworm. He is available from the Bartholomew County Humane Society, 4415 E. County Road 200S, Columbus. Adoption charges help pay expenses of spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, microchip identification and other health procedures. Pet support kits are given with adoptions. For more information call the shelter office at 812-372-6063 from noon to 5 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays. The shelter is open until 6 p.m. Mondays and Wednesday through Fridays.
