FIRST FRIDAYS FOR FAMILIES: CHARMING PRINCES, 6 p.m. Feb. 7, The Commons, 300 Washington St., Columbus, free series that introduces young audiences to a wide variety of performing arts in a fun, informal setting the first Friday of each month December through April. Performances are free and open to everyone. The Mill Race Theatre Company presents Charming Princes. Cinderella lived the dream: she donned a gown of starlight, waltzed with the prince and stole a (somewhat wet and slimy) kiss. So what if Charming couldn’t take a hint if it smacked him with a 6-inch stiletto? He was a prince, and that’s what Cinderella had wished for…right? Fortunately, Fairy Godmother extraordinaire Lilynimble Merryweather is on hand to sort out stale dreams and unwanted wishes, even if it means resorting to charming a prince or two. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with the show starting at 6 p.m.

His performances are annual highlights of the festival circuit, with his perennial appearances at the town’s famed bluegrass fest earning him the title of “King of Telluride.”

HOOSIER ARTIST GALLERY, 45 Jefferson St., Nashville; Winter hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily; Valentine worthy art is featured at Hoosier Artist Gallery in February. Jewelry artists Beth Parrock, Ruth Wert, Anabel Hopkins, and Sally Kinsey will display their original creations for this special Valentine month. ATTERBURY-BAKALAR AIR MUSEUM, located at the Columbus Municipal Airport will be closed until March 3 for annual winter maintenance. Tours may still be scheduled by calling the museum at 812-372-4356.
