Edinburgh Correctional Facility inmates, staff test positive for COVID-19

EDINBURGH — Johnson County officials on Monday said two inmates and two workers at the Edinburgh Correctional Facility have tested positive for COVID-19, and more tests are pending.

A spokesperson for the minimum-security work camp located at Camp Atterbury directed all questions to the Indiana Department of Correction, which confirmed that at least one inmate in Edinburgh has the virus. The state said 48 correction employees have tested positive for the virus, but would not say at which of the state’s 21 facilities.

The Edinburgh Correctional Facility has 329 inmates and 71 employees, said Bryan Dobbs, spokesperson.
