The Columbus Department of Public Works will debut Curb It on Monday, a free downloadable app that provides another option for city residents to request disposal of unwanted household items.
Residents who receive city services can make requests for on-demand pickups. Curb It is an app that city residents will be able to access to schedule collections of their unwanted items curbside. The app will allow residents to select their item and schedule a date for collection. The Department of Public Works will receive the request and route the drivers to that location through Google Maps.
Curb It has partnered with additional agencies that can help provide collections that the city will not collect, such as electronics, hazardous waste, donations, etc.
