Riley Palmeter // Edinburgh junior football player

Palmeter threw for 286 yards and seven touchdowns and ran for another 70 yards to lead the Lancers to a 49-14 win against Switzerland County.

His performance last week: “I was pretty happy with it. I could have got rid of that pick, but I’m really happy with the performance.”

Do you do anything special to prepare? “Just watch over film and look at what the (defensive backs) are doing.”

Favorite drink: “Gatorade”

Favorite food: “Spicy chicken sandwich”

Favorite class: “I really like Foods class.”

Favorite sports team: “Chicago Bears”

Favorite athlete: “Patrick Mahomes”

Role model: “Probably Patrick Mahomes, the way he handles himself and goes about his business.”

Best advice: “Just keep a positive attitude because people work off your energy If you have a positive attitude, your teammates will work better.”

Athletics goal: “I’d really like to get All-Conference this year. It’s been a goal of mine since freshman year.”

If you could travel anywhere: “Probably Hawaii or somewhere tropical where you can kind of relax and enjoy your time.”

Abby Miller // Columbus East senior soccer player

Miller netted three goals and two assists in a 13-1 win at Bedford North Lawrence and added two assists in Saturday’s 6-1 win against Floyd Central.

Her performance last week: “I feel good. I came in prepared. Our team came in prepared last week, so it felt good to get three wins.”

Do you do anything special to prepare? “I just listen to music before a game.”

Favorite drink: “Chocolate milk”

Favorite food: “Mexican”

Favorite class: “Art”

Favorite sports team: “Purdue basketball”

Favorite athlete: “Tobin Heath”

Role model: “My parents (Erin and Tony Miller).”

Best advice: “Never give up.”

Athletics goal: “To play in college next year.”
