Nathan DeFriece scored a pair of goals to lead Columbus Christian to a 4-0 win against Colonial Christian on senior night.

Joel Flint and Garrett Spurgeon each added a goal for the Cruasaders (2-6-1). Isaac Ridder had an assist.

Columbus Christian outshot Colonial 14-1. Bryce Young recorded one save.

East finishes sixth

Seymour pulled out a three-set win at No. 1 doubles to claim a 3-2 win at Columbus East in the Hoosier Hills Conference Tournament fifth-place match.

Pranav Kumar beat Hunter Heckman 6-3, 6-2 at No. 1 singles, and Daniel Murphy topped Reuben Kruse 6-3, 6-1 at No. 2 singles for the Olympians (6-11).

East’s Emmit Romine fell to Joe Schmidt 6-2, 6-4 at No. 3 singles. Derek Heideman and Matthew Degner lost to Brandon Hubbard and Andrew Levine 6-0, 5-7, 6-3 at No. 1 doubles, and Erik Takahashi and Carlos Fernandez fell to Sam Baker and Eli Meyer 6-4, 6-3 at No. 2 doubles.

Panthers take seventh

NORTH VERNON — Jennings County won three matches in straight sets and two others by forfeit in a 5-0 win against Madison in the HHC Tournament seventh-place match.

Owen Law beat Bryce Miller 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1 singles, Gage Gasper downed Matthew Burkhardt 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2 singles and Jacob Vogel and Justin Ramey blankedTucker Whitaker and Alex Wang 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 doubles for the Panthers (4-8). Isaac Lightner at No. 3 singles and Alex Leach and Greyson Jackson at No. 2 doubles won by default.

Panthers get first win

NORTH VERNON — Jennings County picked up its first win of the season, a 21-18 victory against Connersville.

Peyton Hayden scored on a 3-yard run and threw a 9-yard touchdown pass to Colton Ross. The game winner came on Michael Haines’ 9-yard pass to Cole Marksberry late in the third quarter.

Haines finished 15 of 27 passing for 180 yards, and Hayden carried 26 times for 163 yards. Samuel Burkman caught six passes for 89 yards.

Lancers fall to Milan

EDINBURGH — Milan built a 55-0 halftime lead and went on to hand Edinburgh a 62-0 Mid-Indiana Football Conference defeat.

Riley Palmeter completed 11 of 21 passes for 98 yards for the Lancers (1-5, 1-4).
