You need not go any further than your living room to catch Columbus native actress Chaley Rose Jackson starring in her latest movie “My Best Friend’s Bouquet” at 9 p.m. Oct. 10 and other dates following on the Hallmark Channel. Jackson plays Josie Hughes, a hopeless romantic who believes the wedding bouquet always finds its way to the right person when tossed by the bride, as proven time and again at weddings dating back to her childhood. But single Josie ends up with the bouquet at her friend Emma’s wedding instead of their not-single friend Athena and fears she’s wrecked her chances of getting engaged, according to promotional material.

You still can “adopt” a few ducks for a chance at a variety of prizes in the 17th Annual Kiwanis Incredible Duck Splash fundraiser scheduled from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Round Lake at Mill Race Park on Fifth Street in downtown Columbus. The event will include safe distancing, and organizers encourage attendees to wear masks as hundreds of numbered, yellow and “adopted” rubber ducks are dropped from a helicopter into the lake. Winners will then be drawn for a range of prizes totaling $12,000 in value or even a new car or $50,000 in cash. Ducks can be purchased at kducks.com.
