COLUMBUS, Ind. — The regular season is over for the Columbus North boys basketball team.

The Bull Dogs have shut down the program until sectional because of COVID. They are scheduled to play in the Bloomington South Sectional the first week of March.

North has canceled its final five regular-season games, including a home game with Greencastle that was just scheduled over the weekend. The Bull Dogs also will miss games that were scheduled for Friday at Bloomington South, Feb. 19 against Bloomington North, Feb. 20 against Franklin and Feb. 25 at Center Grove.

This is the second time this year that Columbus North has had to suspend activities because of COVID. The Bull Dogs were off for about three weeks in December after a player from Shelbyville, their opponent on Dec. 4, tested positive.

North is 11-4 following its 51-41 win at East Central on Saturday.
