Virginia Whatley, 79, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2013, at Franklin United Methodist Community. She was a resident of Franklin.
She was born November 27, 1933, in Eaton, Ohio, to Floyd and Opal (Carmack) Morris. She married Sam Whatley.
She is survived by son, Patrick (Connie) Powlen of Edinburgh; a daughter-in-law, Debbie Powlen of Trafalgar; grandchildren, Angela (Scott) Barriger, Kari (Michael) Boerner of Franklin, Larry (Cari) Brown of Greenwood and John (Katy) Brown of Greenwood; and twelve great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in passing by her parents, her husband, Sam, and son, Michael Powlen.
A service will be conducted on Saturday, September 21, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call on Friday, September 20, 2013, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
