Charlie G. Gabbard, 92, of Greensburg, passed away Wednesday, December 25th, at his residence.
Charlie was born March 16, 1921, in Kentucky, a son of the late Fannie (Burris) and Wiliam P. Gabbard. He married Elizabeth J. Little in 1987.
He is survived by his wife and children, Dianna (Gene) Coop of Columbus, Charles (Rick) Gabbard of Seymour, Nancy (Rob) Wedge of Loretta, TN, William P. (Bill) Gabbard of Uniontown, Linda Brooks of Middletown, Ohio, and Randy (Marcy) Gabbard of Westport; stepsons, Dean (Bev) Whittaker of Batesville, and Stephen (Lisa) Whittaker of New Point; a stepdaughter, Victoria (Dave) Thomas of Lafayette; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
He was employed at Cummins Engine Company in Columbus for 22 years. He was World War II U.S. Army veteran.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Johns in Enochsburg with Father Bill Ehalt officiating. Visitation will follow the service.
Memorials to Margaret Mary Hospice or Juvenile Diabetes.
Burns Funeral Home in Milroy was in charge of arrangements.
