Christopher E. Daeger, 50, of North Vernon, passed away at 3:57 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014, at St. Vincent Jennings Hospital in North Vernon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 10, 2014, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Rev. Jerry Byrd will officiate. Interment will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service in North Vernon. A Rosary Service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. at the funeral Home.
Born July 27, 1963, in Seymour, Chris was the son of Phillip and Rosie Firsich Daeger.
He graduated from Jennings County High School in 1981 and worked as a salesman for North Vernon Beverage Company where he was employed for 26 years. He was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, the Eagles, and Moose Lodge.
Chris loved watching his son, Kevin, play baseball. He was a Cincinnati Reds and Bengals fan, and loved playing cards with family and friends.
He is survived by his parents, Phillip and Rosie Daeger of North Vernon; two sons, Jarrod Daeger of North Vernon and Kevin Daeger of Hanover; one brother, Brian Daeger of Greensburg; one sister, Laurie Blackburn of North Vernon; and a friend, Brenda Moore of Columbus.
Memorials may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society or St. Ann’s Cemetery Fund.
