James Steven Seal, 66, passed away Monday, June 9, 2014.
Steve was born October 10, 1947 in Columbus, to the late Clyde W. and Mildred G. Truex Seal. He married his love Susan Eggersman June 5, 1971.
Steve was a tremendously loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, colleague, and friend to all who knew him and will be deeply missed. He was a loving and caring man who was everyone’s friend.
Steve was employed as a biology and chemistry teacher for 25 years with Carmel High School before retiring in 1996. In his younger years, Steve enjoyed gymnastics and rowing. And throughout life he came to love home projects, wood working, and piloting.
Steve is survived by his loving wife Susie of 43 years; their children, Lynley Heinrich (Scott) and John Seal (Erin Crowley); grandchildren: Ethan and Hayden Heinrich, and Veronica, Franklin, and Lynas Seal; a brother David Seal (Jane); a sister Karen Sauerhagen (Roger); and his best four-legged-friend, Buddy.
Visitation will be on Friday, June 13, 2014 from 9 until 11a.m. at Leppert Mortuary, Nora Chapel, with Steve’s memorial service immediately following. Burial will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Indianapolis Humane Society and/or the National MS Society.
