Lloyd Allman, 87, of Columbus, passed from this life at 10:16 p.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at The Waters of Scottsburg.
Mr. Allman was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and was retired from Product Engineering Company where he was a tool and die maker.
He enjoyed membership at Columbus Moose Lodge, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 26 in Section 60 at Garland Brook Cemetery. Full military rites will be presented by the U.S. Navy Ceremonial Unit and the Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard.
There will be no calling hours.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Born in Jackson County September 21, 1926, Mr. Allman was the son of Balem and Fern Baird Allman.
Mr. Allman is survived by his former wife, Norma "Rosie" Allman of Columbus; his daughters, Sandy (Jim) Rudnicki of South Bend, Kim Hennsley of Columbus, Jo (Rob) Hayes of Columbus, and Lee (Herb) Meinz of Columbus; grandchildren, Nicole Rudnicki, Nathan (Tamara) Rudnicki, Justin Hoesman, Cassie (Jeremy) Boldlac, Curtis Hoesman, Emily Jessup, Katie Jessup, Sarah Jessup, Tanner (Taylor) Jessup, Logan Jessup, and Lexie Meinz; great-grandchildren, Gage Graham, Talon Jessup, and Thaise Jessup; and sisters, Ada Walden of Aurora and Evelyn Brown of Indianapolis.
Mr. Allman was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charles, Earl, and Carl Allman; and a sister, Betty Jackson.
