David Wayne Hukill, 52, was born March 5, 1962 in Seymour, Indiana to Richard Hukill and Martha (Thompson) Hukill. He passed July 4, 2014 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Retired from 20+ years in the US Army, Dave went on to receive his Bachelors in Project Management and his Masters in Business Administration from Colorado Technical University. Currently, he worked as the Lead Safety Technician for the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in Boulder, CO.
David was preceded in death by a daughter, Amber Hukill; and his father, Richard Hukill.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela C. Hukill; two sons, Joshua Hukill and Colton Long; two daughters, Ashley Hukill and Rachel Long; his mother, Martha Hukill; and two sisters, Cathy Brown and Connie Littlejohn.
Visitation will be from 8 to 10 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 East Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Graveside Service with Full Military Honors will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 17, 2014, Fort Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area B, 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, Denver, Colorado.
Dave’s Celebration of Life will be after the burial from 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Dave and Pam’s house. Please call 719-488-8609 for address and directions.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to a trust fund for Dave’s four (plus one on the way) little grandchildren at DAVEHUKILLMEMORIAL.MYDAGSITE.COM.
