Shirley "Faye" Johnson Hill, 75, of Columbus, passed away at 2:22 a.m. on Monday, July 21, 2014, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Faye was born on January 29, 1939, in Horse Cave, Kentucky, to the late Arlene Boston and Edna Atwell Boston. She married Samuel D. Johnson on September 14, 1958. He preceded her in death on January 16, 2000. Faye was a former member of Hartsville Church of Christ and the New Hope Christian Church. She retired from Columbus Sportswear after 20 years of service.
Faye enjoyed fishing, bowling, cornhole, gardening, cooking, and was known to be a perfectionist as a seamstress. She was a faithful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Faye loved spending time with her family, friends, and especially her grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Barkes, Weaver and Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Dan Titus officiating.
Family and friends may call from 9 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
Inurnment will take place at a later date.
In keeping with Faye's wishes, cremation is planned following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana or to the Columbus Regional Hospital Cancer Center.

Faye is survived by her children, Beth (Billy) Stott of Columbus and Timothy (Dee) Johnson of Southport; grandchildren, Samantha (Patrick) Morgan, Justin (Brittany) Stott, Taniel Harper, and Collin Johnson; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Donald and Paul Boston; sisters, Susie Payne of Columbus and Vickie Dalton of Punta Gorda, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
Faye is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Samuel D. Johnson; and second husband, William Hill.
