Bonnie Jo "B.J." Gardner, 71, of Hope, died Monday July 21, 2014, at Miller's Merry Manor.
Born July 21, 1943, in Clifford, Indiana, she was the daughter of J.T. Shaw and Anna Mae West Shaw.
She had several places of employment but most recently was an attendant at a laundromat.
She loved nature, flowers, and spending time with her family. She also loved collecting Indians, antiques, horses, and riding motorcycles.
Survivors include her mother, Anna Mae West Shaw of Flat Rock; children, Jerry Wayne Nugent of Flat Rock, Jody B. Fields of Tennessee, JoAnna LaRue (Tim) Hooten of Elizabethtown, Shannon Rae Clark of Clifford, and J. Robert Emmanuell (Cynthia) Waltermire of Columbus; grandchildren, Jobie, Roger, Dustin, Cassie, Doug, Terry, Johnny, Riley, Raley, Casey, Leona, Whitney, and Miranda; and seven great-grandchildren.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her father, J.T. Shaw; daughter, Billie Jo Moore; and grandchildren, Michael Layton Moore, Kenny Wayne Moore, and Jammie Lea Burton.
Cremation is planned and there will be a family gathering at a later date.
Arrangements were made by Norman Funeral Home in Hope.
