Margaret Louise Large, 66, of North Vernon, died Tuesday, July 22, 2014, in a traffic accident in Warren County, Ohio.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 27, 2014, at New Bethel United Methodist Church. The Rev. Connie Barr will officiate. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service in North Vernon.
Born May 6, 1948, in North Vernon, Margaret was the daughter of Clara Byard Suhre and the late David Suhre. She married Robert Large August 22, 1969. He also died Tuesday in the same accident.
A homemaker, Margaret enjoyed baking, quilting, gardening, bird watching and reading. She was a member of New Bethel United Methodist Church and New Bees Quilting Club. Two years ago, she moved with her husband after his retirement back to North Vernon from Springfield, Ohio.
Survivors include her mother, Clara Suhre of North Vernon; two sons, Nathan Robert Large of Erie, Pennsylvania, and Evan David Large (Tsui Yi Cheah) of Aurora, Illinois; two brothers, Bill and John Suhre, both of North Vernon; a sister, Donna Kreutzjans of North Vernon; and a granddaughter, Evelyn Large of Aurora, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her father, her husband, and a daughter, Claire Catherine Large.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
