Carlos Mane's late goal gives Sporting Lisbon 1-0 win over Arouca, Porto wins


LISBON, Portugal — Carlos Mane scored in stoppage time to give Sporting Lisbon a 1-0 win over Arouca on Saturday, after former Manchester United forward Nani missed a penalty.

Mane went on at halftime and netted the winner three minutes into injury time after teammate Junya Tanaka had hit the woodwork.

Nani missed his spot kick in the 63rd.

Also, FC Porto won 1-0 at Pacos Ferreira, while Maritimo beat Academica 2-1 at home.

Striker Jackson Martinez scored five minutes before halftime from a pass by substitute Juan Quintero to give Porto the victory.

Defending champion Benfica visits Boavista on Sunday.
