JERSEY CITY, New Jersey — Marvin Dominique paced a balanced attack with 15 points to lead St. Peter's to a 69-58 win over Fairfield on Saturday.

Trevis Wyche added 12 points while Tyler Gaskins and Quadir Welton had 10 apiece for the Peacocks (11-13, 5-8 Metro Atlantic).

St. Peter's was without leading scorer Desi Washington (14.5 ppg) because of his participation in a post-game scuffle at the end of Saturday's overtime loss to Iona.

Marcus Gilbert hit 14 of 16 free throws for 28 points, surpassing 1,000 career points (1,021) for the Stags (6-17, 4-9).

St. Peter's shot 58 percent in the first half to open a 33-23 lead. The Peacocks finished at 50 percent and only had six turnovers while scoring 16 points off of 14 Fairfield giveaways.

Fairfield never got closer than eight in the second half and the Peacocks made 8 of 10 free throws in the final two minutes.
