Go Guide – February 19

1) If you know me even a tiny bit, you know that I love animals. Part of loving animals is being a responsible pet owner, so I’m happy to throw a bone of promotion to the eighth annual Spay-ghetti Dinner, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at Tre Bicchieri, 425 Washington St. All proceeds will help CARE help pet owners who cannot afford to pay for spaying and neutering. The menu includes spaghetti with marinara sauce, salad, fresh-baked bread and your choice of dessert made by local bakeries and CARE volunteers. Information and tickets: care.rescuegroups.org. Tickets, $15 for adults, $10 for ages 10 and younger, are available at Tre Bicchieri and Viewpoint Books.

2) I also enjoy wine. Wine for a good cause is even better, so I’m planning to head to the D-Vine Winter Wine & Beer Fest, 1 to 7 p.m. Feb. 28, at The Commons, 300 Washington St. During the event, presented by and benefits Developmental Services Inc., I will happily sample products from numerous wineries and breweries from around the state. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door, available online at dsiservices.org or 812-376-9404.
