Local sports events postponed due to snow
Most local high school sports events scheduled for Saturday were postponed due to winter weather.
The Columbus North Sectional boys swimming meet was moved to 5:30 p.m. Monday. Both the swimming and diving portions of the meet will be at that time.
The Bedford North Lawrence Regional girls basketball tournament was moved to Monday and Tuesday.
The Columbus North girls team will face Evansville Central at 6 p.m. Monday with the other semifinal between Bedford North Lawrence and Center Grove at 8 p.m. The tournament’s championship game will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
The Northpointe at Columbus Christian boys basketball game in Indiana Christian Schools Tournament Regional play was moved to 5 p.m. Monday. The Columbus Christian girls regional championship game against Lighthouse Christian Academy (Bloomington) will be played at 8 p.m. Monday. The boys championship game will be played at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Hauser’s boys basketball game at Shelbyville was moved to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The Conference Indiana gymnastics meet at Bloomington North High School was postponed with no new time set as of yet.
The Columbus East at Scottsburg boys basketball game has been rescheduled for Tuesday.
Other local athletic events were postponed as well. The Columbus Boomers had scheduled youth basketball tryouts for Saturday, but those were postponed. Details of new tryouts dates have not been released yet.
