Gardening programs scheduled at library

Granted, we were just dusting off our snow shovels recently, and spring still is nearly three weeks away.

But you already can be getting your gardening shovel ready.

Two presentations from master gardeners in the Red Room of the Bartholomew County Public Library can help.

At 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Harvey Taylor will present, “Gardening: Spring Cleaning.” He will focus on the importance of activities leading up to spring to prepare your garden, flower beds, and lawn for a healthy spring start.

And Sherry Warner will provide tips on some more inexpensive gardening ideas, including container gardening and starting seeds at home during her session, “Gardening on the Cheap” at 6:30 p.m. March 9. Both programs are free.
