A bake sale to benefit a kidney transplant recipient will be from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Edinburgh Premium Outlet mall.
Anna Rhoades, 75, of Edinburgh, received a lifesaving kidney transplant last year, with the organ donated by her daughter. Average kidney transplant costs are about $250,000, and patients need follow-up care and daily anti-rejection medications.
Rhoades and her family are working with the National Foundation for Transplants for assistance.
In addition to the bake sale, there will be hot dogs and beverages available for purchase. The Colts-In-Motion interactive trailer will be on site from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and the Pacers Fan Van will be there from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
