Robert J. and L. Jane Owings of Columbus celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with their family.
Mr. Owings and the former Lydia Jane Newcomb were married Aug. 23, 1955, at First Methodist Church.
Mr. Owings retired from Indiana Bell Telephone/Ameritech after 36 years of service.
Mrs. Owings is a former employee of Bartholomew County Schools and is a homemaker.
The couple have three sons, Rob (Carole) Owings, the Rev. Mark (Dona) Owings and the late Brent Owings. They also have two grandchildren.
