David E. Jones Sr., 64, of Columbus, passed from this life at 2:50 a.m. Wednesday, September 2, 2015, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Mr. Jones was a welder and an Army Veteran.
He loved singing, hosting karaoke and riding his Harley.
Family and friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street.
In keeping with Mr. Jones’ wishes cremation will take place following the visitation.
Military honors will be presented by the Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard at the funeral home.
The family request that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana

Born in Indianapolis, January 13, 1951, Mr. Jones was the son of Claude and Emma Rose Flake Jones.
Survivors include his sons, David (Amy) Jones Jr. and Michael (Rebecca) Jones; brothers, Stanley Jones and Leslie Lemons; and grandchildren, Nikki, Emma and Carter Jones.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Robert Jones, Thomas Jones, Ester Jones, Roy Jones and Martha Fleenor.
