1) Ganesh, the elephant-headed Hindu god, has always struck me as one of the happiest gods ever. I’m sure the party thrown in his honor, Omkar 2015, the 11th annual Columbus Ganesh Festival, will be a great time. Feature entertainment, sculptural presentations and more, the festival continues 6 to 8:30 p.m. today; 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Saturday; and 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, at The Commons, 300 Washington St. The final two hours Sunday is a procession to Mill Race Park from The Commons.
